In view of promoting a better academic climate, giving play to top students as role models, setting up academic examples, and bringing about an academic atmosphere featuring competition, support and pursuit, and comprehensively upgrading the educational and teaching quality, High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) held Students’ Award Ceremony of the Academic Year 2018-2019 respectively in the downtown schoolyard and Xingfuliu Schoolyard, awarding those classes as well as those students who have studied hard, played an active role in school activities and made outstanding academic achievements. The ceremony was respectively hosted by Liu Minghui and Wang Bin, Director of AHS Department of Teaching and Students’ Affairs, in the two schoolyards. In the ceremony Liu Congjun and Chen Dehai, Deputy Principal of AHS, respectively announced the recognition decision and Wang Yuzhang, AHS Principal, and Zhang XIanchen, Deputy Principal of AHS, respectively announced the list of awarded classes and students.

The award list included the 35 students who ranked among Top 10 in academic performance of the year 2018-2019 (Top 5 for Senior 3 students in Arts Science) and the 11 students who gained the 1st prize of Olympiad of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Informatics. Xingfuliu School also commended those outstanding students cadres, those classes who won prizes in “Principal Cup” Basketball Championship and 10,000-meter Relay, those classes granted “Spiritual Civilized Class”, classes recognized as 2018 Advanced Unit in Dorm Management and other prize winner classes as well as individuals.

In their speeches AHS leaders encouraged students to cherish honors, stay modest and make persistent efforts to realize new achievements. Leaders also hoped students should emulate those examples, undertake self-discipline, keep diligent in academic study and strive to be an AHS student characterized by “kindness, truth and innovation”.
