On June 5, am, 2018 Summer Camp for students admitted under recommendation commenced in the meeting hall of the downtown campus of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS). Present at the meeting were Wang Yuzhang, AHS Principal, Wang Bin, Director of AHS Department of Teaching and Students’ Affairs, 6 teachers of the summer camp and all students admitted under recommendation in 2018. The meeting was hosted by Xu Shishui, Vice Director of AHS Department of Teaching and Students’ Affairs.

Wang Yuzhang introduced in detail the school and expressed his hope that students should strive to develop good learning habits and adapt themselves to the new life as soon as possible. He added that students should make a comprehensive plan on their academic life in high school and find an appropriate road in their academic learning, after-class activities, specialties, subject competitions and other aspects. He also hoped students to nurture the habit of reading, reading more and better books.

Xu Shishui respectively introduced the 6 teachers as well as each student with their specialties. Wang Bin presented a detailed introduction about the school’s courses, enabling students to have a better understanding of the academic arrangements in high school.

AHS Summer Camp functions as a platform for those outstanding students admitted into AHS under recommendation, providing an opportunity for students to display their talents and learn from each other. Through arranging theme speeches, organizing students to do practices and providing class instructions, the summer camp can well help students to achieve a smooth transition in their academic study from junior high school to senior high school, thus winning the acknowledgement of students and their parents.
