From December 2 to 9, 2017 China Football School Cup Championship (U19), hosted by China Football Association (CFA), was held in the training base of Hangzhou Green Town Football Club. The Men’s Football Team of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) attended the championship and won the second place. It was the second time that AHS Men’s Football Team had ranked as the runner-up after the 20^thChina Football School Cup Championship (U17).

The championship attracted not only those traditional top school teams to attend like teams from Zhengzhou No. 9 High School, Cuiyuan High School, Shenyang Hui Nationality Middle School, Zhengzhou No. 2 Middle School, Shandong Zibo No. 17 Middle School, but also teams belonging to the football associations of some cities or football clubs. In the group stage AHS Men’s Football Team beat Cuiyuan Middle School and Shenyang Football Club Team respectively by 4:1 and 3:1 and entered the quarter-finals as a team ranking the 1^stin the group. AHS Men’s Football Team then barged into the final after defeating Baotou Group Football Club Team 2:1 in the quarter-final anddowning Shenyang Hui Nationality Middle School Team in a 2 to 1 victory in the semi-final. In the final the team lost the match to the host team, Hangzhou Green Town Football Club Team and won the second place of the championship.

After going through unfavorable factors like too many injuries, a tight match schedule and ended up with the title of the runner-up of the championship, AHS Men’s Football Team has again made an outstanding achievement and thus attracted the immediate attention from universities as well as football clubs. As soon as the championship ended, many AHS team players have been invited to Nanjing, Beijing or other cities for trials.

AHS Football Team was founded in the 1960s and over its long history has fostered a considerable number of reserve football players for the national team, the provincial teams or university teams. Since 2000 the team has attended matches of various levels and so far has won a national championship, 8 runner-ups and 3 second runner-ups, which has helped earn the due recognition from the society.
