Nurture a rising sun with love; pass love to people in need. On December 4, 20 students in Grade 2015 of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS), accompanied by AHS Parents Committee members, paid a visit to “Cuckoo Children’s Specialized Home” and expressed their concern to children there.

Early in the morning AHS parents and students came to the children’s home with some life necessities, clothes, food and donations and expressed their heart-felt concern about the children’s life there. Warmly welcomed by the leaders and teachers there, they visited children’s recovery training room, the activity room and children’s bedrooms. Then volunteers cleaned children’s chairs, handcarts and other everyday items.

Love is endless and moistens life in silence. Through this public-benefit activity students first contact face to face the children different from them and witness the special beauty that life has yielded in tough conditions. Students know there are in our society vulnerable people who need our love, respect as well as warmth.

Cuckoo Children’s Home is the only organization in Ji’nan providing boarding nursery service of elementary education and recovery training for children with mid-level disability like amentia, cerebral palsy andinfantile autism. The children’s home now has registered 80 children including 24 boarding children.
