On April 30, the 9th Model United Nations Conference of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) was held in the downtown schoolyard. Students from AHS downtown schoolyard, Xingfuliu schoolyard and No. 2 Middle School Attached to Shandong Normal University made up national delegate teams and attended the conference.

Greatly supported by AHS CYL Committee, the conference was intended to widen students’ vision, encourage them to pay more attention to international affairs and promote the implementation of quality education in view of cultivating more talents. Actively addressing their views and stands, organizing negotiations and finally achieving a draft, students have well displayed their talents and wisdom as diplomats. In accordance with students’ performance in the conference, the Best Team, the Best Standpoint, the Outstanding Delegate, the Best Elegance and some other awards were endowed.

The model conference has upgraded students’ awareness of political participation, improved their ability of speaking and arguing and enabled them to personally experience the complicated situation of the international society. This activity also functions as a bridge of communication between AHS and No. 2 Middle School Attached to Shandong Normal University. Not only learning from each other but also deepening their friendship, through the conference students have benefited a lot and expressed their desire for further exchanges and cooperation.
