Jiang Yilin, outstanding member of Science Camp of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS), member of Elite Project sponsored by China Association for Science and Taishan School of Shandong University, and also silver medalist of the 29th National Youth Innovation Competition, was invited to participate in the Exchange Meeting of National Elite Project (subject of Chemistry) for high school students held in University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) on October 25^th, 2014.

The activity was hosted by Yang Jinlong, General Secretary of Committee of the Elite Project (subject of Chemistry) and executive director of Chemistry and Material School of USTC, together with some leaders and experts who also participated in the activity, such as Professor Xu Huaping from Tsinghua University, Wang Jieyu from Chemistry and Molecular Engineering School of Peking University, Professor Liu Jianwei from Chemistry and Materials School of University of Science and Technology of China, Professor Qian Xuefeng from Chemistry and Chemical Engineering School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Kuang Yaming and Ge Xin from Nanjing University, Professor Tang Dongyan from Chemistry School of Harbin Institute of Technology, Professor Yao Jia from Zhejiang University, Shan Changyong, deputy director of Science and Technology Center for Youth of China Science Association, and Tang Jiajun, deputy director of the Teaching Affair Office of University of Science and Technology of China. 31 high school students fromBeijing,Tianjin,GuangdongProvince,Gansu Province,FujianProvince,Shandong Province,HeilongjiangProvince,Jiangsu Province,ZhejiangProvince andAnhuiProvinceparticipated in the activity, with two of them fromShandongProvince. The report addressed by Jiang Yilin, student from Grade 2012 of AHS, was spoken highly of by the experts.

Under the guidance of AHS Teaching Affair Office and Team of Leading Innovative Talents Cultivation Project, AHS Science Camp is established by top students with excellent comprehensive qualities and discipline specialties. The aim of the Camp is to take advantage of abundant science and technology education resources of key universities and research institutes, organize high school students to go to universities and research institutes, lead teenagers to appreciate the culture of universities, accept the education of science and technology, offer them chances to experience fronts of science and technology; launch activities of science innovation and practice, inspire enthusiasm and interest of teenagers to science, cultivate scientific thinking, innovative spirit and practical ability, and promote the cultivation of reserved talents of China's science and technology innovation.

AHS Science Camp aims to explore the operating mechanism and safeguard mechanism of joint cooperation between attached middle school and university, scientific research institutes to cultivate outstanding reserved innovative talents, explore growth laws of leading innovative talents in the period of high school, find and cultivate a batch of potential reserved talents of science and technology innovation, and build an effective channel for growth and development of leading innovative talents.
