Teachers and students from Australian Alfred Prince College and Wilderness School visited High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) from April 12 to 20.

On the morning of April 15, a welcome ceremony was held in the lecture hall of AHS. Wang Yuzhang, AHS Principal, Dale Gavin Hobbs, Head of Wambana Campus of Alfred Prince College and Yang Renyong, Director of AHS School Administration Office were present at the ceremony. Staff of AHS English teaching group and members of AHS English Association also attended it. Wang Yuzhang and Dale Gavin Hobbs addressed the ceremony respectively and exchanged gifts, expressing best wishes to each other. Students of both the host and guest schools also delivered speeches and gave a wonderful performance.

On the afternoon of April 17, Wang Yuzhang presented certificates to the Australian students who studied Chinese and Chinese culture in AHS during these days. He also hoped that they would have a good journey back and that they would come to AHS again in the future. The Australian guests expressed their gratitude to AHS for the hospitality and also invited AHS teachers and students to visit Australia.

When they stayed in Jinan, Australian students took part in a variety of activities in AHS. They visited the School-history Hall and Xingfuliu Campus. They learned the Chinese language, paper-cutting, caligraphy and Tai Chi together with AHS teachers and students. They also played a football match with AHS football team. The English Association of AHS also held a welcome party. Besides, 18 students and their families prepared dinners to receive the foreign friends, which helped them understand and experience the real Chinese life and deepened the friendship between the students of the two countries.

With teaching quality and popularity enhanced, AHS attracts more and more international attentions. The communication and exchange programmes deepen the friendship between AHS and other schools and also pushes mutual development.
