The Ministry of Education Curriculum Materials Development Center awarded the AHS certificate of “Model School in Research on Scientific-Exploring Learning and Experiment of Creative Talent Cultivation Mechanism in Primary and High Schools” on 23th January, together with the successful conclusion of two subjects undertaken by the AHS:Based on Scientific-Exploring Learning the Digital Laboratory Construction and Development of Digital Experiment in High School, Development and Practice of Technological Programme based on Scientific Research and Creative Talent Cultivation.

Research on Scientific-Exploring Learning and Experiment of Creative Talent Cultivation Mechanism in Primary and High Schools (No: 2009IM010300) is a specific major project entrusted by Ministry of Science and Technology to The Ministry of Education Curriculum Materials Development Center. The AHS was successfully selected to be member of the project in April, 2011, and undertook two research assignments. The principal Wang Yuzhang assume the leader of the subjects, with Yang Ping, Wang Yingxi, Zhou Shuju, Zhang Na, Gou Qiang, Guo Fuqiang, Liu Minghui, Du Mingcheng, Song Zhigang, Kong Dexing, Cai Jianguo and Liu Shuguang taking part inBased on Scientific-Exploring Learning the Digital Laboratory Construction and Development of Digital Experiment in High School, and Liu Yuxiu, Fu Dong and Yi Zhihui inDevelopment and Practice of Technological Programme based on Scientific Research and Creative Talent Cultivation.

The two teams have preformed profound investigation and research towards subjects, as well as much significant practice and development work after establishment. For instance, the team for the first subject united Teaching and Research Section of Jinan Education Bureau to hold the discussion forum on creative class teaching based on digital laboratory of AHS and to have 4 demonstrative classes of digital laboratory with attendance of many high schools. Owing to the prominent research achievements, the AHS was rewarded “Model School in Research on Scientific-Exploring Learning and Experiment of Creative Talent Cultivation Mechanism in Primary and High Schools” after assessment and public notification of the Ministry of Education Curriculum Materials Development Center. In the following period, the AHS will concentrate its attention on the conversion of research results to practical teaching practice, making research results benefit and serve teaching.

The AHS consistently adheres to the principle “establish and flourish the school on the basis of scientific research”. Serious concentration, vigorous support and delicate organization of the school to scientific research has contributed to its steady improvement. The AHS encourages teachers to actively apply for scientific research subjects and formulates awarding policy. Besides, the school has already founded special funds for scientific research and invited several professors of universities and distinguished experts to inspect the scientific research work. Currently, most teachers of the school are undertaking scientific research assignments, and the quantity and quality of scientific research results are improving year by year, forming vigorous educational scientific research atmosphere.
