From February 14 to 17,Cao Jingand the other 9 members of AHS (High School Attached toShandongNormalUniversity) UMUNC Community took part in activities organized by North China Branch of UMUNC in Ji’nan InZone Spring City Hotel. AHS students played different roles respectively in UNSC, HRC, LAS, MPC and cabinets of different countries. AHS students’ outstanding performance won praises from presidium. Zhuang Zengchen, Vice General Secretary of AHS Youth League Committee and Vice Director of AHS Student Affairs Office, and Lin Lin, the facilitator of AHS UMUNC Community, joined the students in this activity.

The crisis linkage system focused on theMiddle Eastaffairs. Full of twists and turns, the congress impressed each participant with a strong atmosphere of crisis they had never experienced before, making them keenly realize the importance of world peace. Members from AHS UMUNC Community undertook active participation in congress debate and media broadcast and fully displayed their talents in lecturing, debating, decision making and news writing. They carried out diligent work on duty for 11 hours a day from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. It is well worth mentioning that AHS UMUNC Community members took up the largest part of MPC, respectively working forGlobal Times,the SunandAl-Jazeera. Each of them wrote nearly 30 reports on average and carried on more than 10 interviews and investigations each day, thus providing highly efficient and timely reports of the congress and functioning in the crisis linkage system as a significant media force that can’t be ignored.

Engaged into the activity, the students came to realize their responsibility as a world citizen, achieved a better understanding of the world and especially the origin and development of the Middle East affairs as well as how to solve them, and know of the structure and operation of crisis linkage system, therefore acquiring valuable experience for the construction of AHS UMUNC Community. The activity well symbolizes the growth of AHS UMUNC Community.
