AHS English association (E.A.) inaugural ceremony was held in the lecture hall on home campus on 28^thMarch, hosted by Yang Mei. Attending the ceremony are Professor Sun Ju from Foreign Language School of Shandong Normal University, Tsung Peiying, head of AHS English T & R Group, Liu Yueying, head of Senior 1 English T & R Group, Yang Mei head of Senior 2 English T & R Group and faculty of Senior 1 and 2 of home campus.

Yang Mei first introduced E.A. and its significance. E.A. aims to raise students’ English ability and enrich campus English culture, dedicated to strengtheningthe construction of school spiritual civilization, improving students’ creative ability and organizing ability, raising students’ appreciation quality, enhancing students’ communication, reinforcing the connection with brother schools in teaching and raising school’s fame. Directed by practical spirit and creative awareness, E.A. provides students with a large stage for their English learning and displaying.

The Chairman, Vice Chairman,CommissaryinchargeofpublicityandCommissaryinchargeoforganizationof E.A. delivered speeches respectively, introducing their own duties and activity plans, such as holding English activities, competitions and so on. Professor Sun Ju congratulated the foundation of E.A., promising to offer as much help as possible.

In the end,Tsung Peiyingmade a conclusion in a humorous way to encourage all the E.A. members to play an active part in activities, thus to improve their comprehensive quality and expected them to behave as gentlemen and fair ladies to spur all the students on to English learning. Meanwhile,Tsungexpressed the hope that E.A. take the responsibility to enrich school life and make it a distinguished students association of AHS. Under the direction of experts and teachers, E.A. is bound to improve the school English culture, as well as students’ study, and bring out more talents of high qualities.
