Debating Team of AHS was on the scene

“The Victory Cup”, Debating Competition of Students in High Schools of Shandong Province, has drawn to a close in No.1 Shengli High School of Dongying. Debating team of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) was rewarded “Excellent Organizing Award”, while Liu Zhigang and Xu Jianping, teachers of Chinese T&R Group, received the title of “Excellent Directing Teacher”.

34 high schools of the province participated in the competition, including such traditional top team as the one of AHS, and promising young teams as well. Altogether 51 matches were held, with No.1 Shengli High School of Dongying winning the final.

8 students from Grade 1 formed the debating team of ASH, including Sun Mengyao (class 20), Zhang Zhongyi (class 19), Yao Ruiqi (class 17), Han Yu (class 29), Wang Jingqi (class 9), Zhang Bowen (class 12), Yang Jiaming(class 25) and Fu Jinghan (class 25), who were selected after fierce preliminary and semi-final contests. They gave up their relaxing time of May Day holiday and practiced three exercising contests on two campuses. Though the preparation time was limited, they overcame difficulties and well coordinate relationship between contest and study, which shows their great sense of honor and responsibility. During the competition, they debated bravely and courageously, and showed excellent spirits of AHS, which won a favorable review from the both judges and the organizing committee.
