On October 11, 2011 Peking University notified in its admission networkwww.gotopku.cnthe preliminarily-approved school list of Peking University’s Real-Name Recommendation System of Secondary School Headmasters. High School Attached to Shandong Normal University was again acknowledged into the list, thus qualified to recommend an outstanding student into Peking University.

In 2012 all together 211 secondary schools were acknowledged into the list and allowed to recommend a total of 260 students. Among the 15 secondary schools from Shandong Province ranked High School Attached to Shandong Normal University, which was to recommend another outstanding student after Yu Jie last year.

In 2011 in accordance with the requirements and principles of implementing Peking University’s Real-Name Recommendation System of Secondary School Headmasters and through serious deliberation of the selection work group founded in High School Attached to Shandong Normal University, Yu Jie was finally designated as the student of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University to be recommended into Peking University, the earliest in Jinan.

Yu Jie stood out among a great number of top students, featuring fine personality and cultivation, remarkable capacity for social practice, a strong spirit of independent learning and research, the ability of analyzing and solving problems，a talent for creation, and a great potential for further development. He had always ranked the first in academic achievement among over 1,700 students in Grade 2008 since his admission into High School Attached to Shandong Normal University and was a second-prize winner of China High School Biology Olympiadanda winner of Provincial-Level “Three Goods” Student awarded in 2008. In addition, Yu Jie took an active part in social practice in and out of school. Over consecutive two years he acted as an editor ofCatkin, a literary periodical of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University and often organized in class tree planting and other activities. With a grateful heart, he once sponsored a donation to help a student in need. Finally Yu Jie was admitted into Peking University after smoothly displaying his academic achievement in 2011 College Entrance Examination.
