Our School Ranked among China’s Top 100 High Schools (the Forth Session)

Recently in Beijing commenced the Forth China’s Leading High Schools Forum and the release conference of Top 100 High Schools. The forum announced the names of China’s top 100 high schools (the forth session), among which rank the Affiliated High School of Peking University, No.2 High School of East China Normal University, Hangzhou No. 2 Middle School, Suzhou High School of Jiangsu Province, Attached High School to Shandong Normal University, and other celebrated high schools throughout China.

The forum was organized by the committee of Leading High School Leaders’ Forum and the top 100 high school website, with the combined efforts of more than 20 educational media in China and abroad. China’s Top 100 High Schools comes to be the earliest and most systematic large-scale activity aiming to select the best senior high schools in China. It is held once every two years, with the purpose of promoting quality high school education as well as summarizing and examining the development of civil high school education within two years. On the subject of “Back to the Essence of Education, 2011”, the forum witnessed the deep discussion among leaders of over 80 leading high schools all over the nation on new curriculum reform and comprehensive advance of quality education, the balance between quality education and exam-oriented education, the balanced education and the construction of a school as a brand, the problems of study load reducing and school-choosing, the choice of attending NMET (National Matriculation Entrance Test) or studying abroad, and other hot topics.

The evaluation system for choosing top 100 high schools this time has been well improved including the school’s educational philosophy, market position, teaching facilities, teaching staff, teaching management and characteristics, and at the same time some single awards have been added. Due to its outstanding teaching and other educational index in various aspects, our school again was ranked among China’s top 100.（Administration Office of the School and the School’s Communist Party Commission）
