From July 28 to 31 led by Fu Haijian, a teacher of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS), students of AHS Model United Nations Association took part in Beijing UMUNC 2016.

The conference, as it was in the 1st session of the General Assembly of United Nations, set up Historical Nuclear Disarmament Commission, the UN Security Council, the European Commission and governments of UN membership countries. AHS students well displayed their competence in consulting and debating with other delegates, writing papers and draft resolutions and elaborating the views and standpoints on behalf of their country, all resulting in a series of agreements, drafts and resolutions to be signed.

As a significant membership association attached to Students’ Leadership Society, AHS Model United Nations Association has not only displayed AHS students’ outstanding qualities but also manifested AHS’ educational principle of “building up a quality high school with university characteristics ranking the top in Shandong Province and the most classic in China” and its educational objective of “nurturing the outstanding students with AHS characteristics”.
