The longest line of postcards consists of 10,000 postcards and was achieved by the Ji’nan Municipal Branch of China Post at the Sports Centre of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University on March29, 2016.

The line measured 1,394.042 meters. The postcards contained images of scenic views from around Jinan as well as messages written by local citizens, soldiers, students, foreign friends as well as social organizations.

GR Certificate officer Charles Wharton announced the success of the Guinness challenge and awarded the certificate to the sponsors. AHS students together with those foreign students the International School of Ji’nan University witnessed the challenge.

This Guinness challenge was part of the campaign called Sending Jinan’s Beauty Out, sponsored by the Publicity Department of Ji’nan Municipal Party Committee and Jinan International Communication Office and organized by the Ji’nan Municipal Branch of China Post and AHS. The aim of the campaign was to convey the beauty of Ji’nan to other parts of the world. Ji’nan made a new name card by this new Guinness world record and was known to the world to accept visitors from all over the world.
