The 10th International Future Business Leaders Summit

The 10th International Future Business Leaders Summit was held in Shanghai from February 12 to 17, with more than 800 students from more than 30 foreign language high schools or international departments of high schools participating in the summit. Organized by Communist Youth League of the school and led by two headteachers, Zhao Jun and Rooney Liu, 14 students from International Department of AHS took part in the tournament, and won such awards as "Outstanding Chief Executive Officer", "Best products Department Award" and other individual and team competition awards.

The Organizing Committee of the Summit has prepared a rich business experience feast for all contestants: TED lecture "Importance of Business Literacy from the Perspective of Investors" hosted by Mr. Sun Guoxin, capital investment director of Softbank China; Expo curriculum of business schools such as Stanford, Wharton, Harvard taught by marketing directors from the world top 500 companies; "the Youth Economic Forum" involved by students who have been admitted to New York University, Cornell University and other well-known foreign universities.

The tournament put forward industrial as well as financial markets for companies and individuals respectively. In the next five fiscal years, the contestants organized simulation companies and served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), directors of Product Department, Investment Department and Marketing Department. They cooperated closely to fulfill comprehensive business operations and commercial retail, followed by business sectors such as the issuance, trading, dividends and repurchase. Meanwhile, they tried to achieve profit of the company by flexibly making use of state holding, joint venture, innovation of science and technology. And research and development strength, procurement funds and C values will make a difference with the proceeding of the tournament.

Though it is the first time for students of International Department of AHS to participate in the tournament, they actively involved themselves in various aspects of it, designing products independently, flexibly making use of business techniques, and thus achieving good performance in each fiscal year. Zhu Shun won “the Best Performance Award for Fiscal Year”; Li Tingsong and Zhou Ziyi “the Best Student Award”; Wang Yichu and Wu Siyang “the Best Product Department Award”; Zhu Shun and Li Zongkun “the Outstanding Chief Executive Officer Award”; and team of Zhu Shun “the Outstanding Company Award”.

"Business Simulation Challenge Competition" is the business educational activities rising in American high schools, which organizes and runs their own companies and actually participates in company formation, product development, product marketing, investment business, and so on to cultivate the business literacy during the process and the team cooperation consciousness and ability of the participants. It strengthens the leadership, broadens the horizons, promotes the exchange of learning among high school students, and increases their own life experiences in the combined commercial market of virtual and reality world.
