Members of MUN Society of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) took part in 2014 Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) China held in Beijing from Mar. 20^thto 23^rd. AHS students were highly thought of by the committee and other participants. Chang Dechen, student of Class 31, Grade 2, won the prize of “Honorable Mention”, which is the only prize won by Shandong delegation. AHS delegation was led by Lin Lin, politics teacher of AHS.

Hosted by Harvad University, HNMUN is well-known in the world for its first-class academic level, precise atmosphere, heated debate, talented presidium and hospitable operating team. The meeting held in Beijing this time attracted excellent high school students from many countries in the world. AHS students have discussions with other delegations about international affairs in Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Committee, Disarmament and International Security, Legal Committee, World Health Organization, Court of the Guangxu Emperor, 1898 and Non-Governmental Organizations. By taking part in the meeting, students broaden their international horizon, strengthen their ability to express themselves in English and practise their social skills.

As one of the important societies which aims to develop students’leadership, MUN society of AHS demonstrates the excellent quality of AHS students and the educational aim of becoming a domestically first-class and world famous high school. This society is to raise its professional level through various ways and make an elite society of AHS.
