The foundation of High School Education Research Center (HSERC) and the first summit forum on high school education, was held in Beijing Normal University (BNU) from 22^ndto 23^rd, March. Principals from 90 national well-known high schools attended the conference, including High School Attached toPeckingUniversity, High School Attached to Tsinghua University (TUAHS), High School Attached to Renmin University of China, Beijing Number 11 Middle School,Tianjin Nankai High School,HebeiHengshui High School. Tan Yinghai, Party secretary of AHS and vice principal, representing AHS, was invited to the summit.

At the conference, Shen Jiliang, an official of the Foundation Education Department of Ministry of Education, Zhong Binglin, Chairman of China Education Association and Dong Qi, principal of BNU made a speech respectively and unveiled the plaque together, followed by Shen Jiliang’ introduction of the policy tendency of high school education reform. Wang Dianjun, principal of TUAHS, Shi Zhongying, minister of teaching department of BNU and Chen Guangju, vice principal and director of HSERC reported on High school pre-setting university courses, the connection between high school and university education and co-cultivation of innovative talents. The conference also involved interactive communication, through which the principals had a further discussion about the topics they were concerned about.

The conference selected 52 excellent high schools as theHigh School Education Study Base of Beijing Normal University. AHS was included and signed the agreement on BNU co-selecting tiptop talents with high quality schools.
