On 31^stDecember, 2012, the New Year’s concert hosted byJinaneducation system was held inJinanArtSchool.AHS Symphony Orchestra, which is also known as Shandong High School Symphony Orchestra, was invited to the concert. Present at the concert are Liu Congjun, Vice Principal of AHS, Wang Xigang, Director of P.E, Health andArtDepartment, and Liu Minghui, Director of Discipline Office.

Chen Dongsheng,Director of Jinan Bureau of Education, delivered a New Year’s speech at the concert.AHS Symphony Orchestra, the first one to give performance, showedorchestral musicensembleGood News From Beijing toBorder VillagesandRaba Dance. The two pieces of music were of different styles. The former was full of delight while the latter full of enthusiasm, both expressing best wishes to the New Year. Under the conduct of Sun Ke, the performance wasbrilliant and mellifluous, showing theelegantdemeanourof AHS Symphony Orchestra and winningthe favorable applause from the audience at times.

It is said that the invited programs were outstanding ones selected from various competitions ofJinanthis year, all performed by primary and middle schools ofJinan.AHS Symphony Orchestra made great achievements in 2012. In July, 2012 it participated in the fourth Shandong Primary and Middle School Art Performance, awarded the first prize and winning the opportunity to take part in the National Art Show. In August, 2012,under the invitation of Vienna Mayor, it attended Chinese Teenager Musikvereins Summer Concert held in Vienna and was honored as the Best Performer of the 3^rd“Dream Shine” Musikvereins Summer Concert.
