In December, 2011, the teaching cooperation between High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) andUK Edexcel National Examinations Authority formally started. AHS has become the teaching center of A-Level (General Certificate of Education Advanced Level) course inShandongProvince. A-Level course will be taken in as the school-based curriculum of AHS, which help AHS students to receive high level education of the Commonwealth without going abroad. During the past 2 years, nearly 30 students of AHS have passed A-Level tests and been admitted into the famous overseas universities ranking the top60 inthe world.

In 2012, there will be 60 AHS students awarded a place atHong Konghigh schools. These students will have the same student status asHong Kongstudents. They will study A-Level courses of theUKand SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) courses of theUSin their spare time. When they graduate from high school, the 60 students can take either the National College Entrance Exam of China or A-Level exam or SAT.

In order to help realize excellent AHS students' dream of going toCambridgeUniversityandOxfordUniversity,A-LevelCenterwill starttheCambridgeandOxfordMillion-Yuan Scholarship Program.After passing A-Level exams and being admitted intoCambridgeorOxford, AHS students each will be awarded RMB 100,000 as the scholarship.
