A good news has come from the Education Department of Shandong Province. After a series of selections, Zhuang Zengchen (Maths), Li Min (English), Yang Ping (Chemistry), Zhao Bingyong (Politics) have finally been awarded the honor of“Teaching Expert of Shandong Province”. 118 teachers in Senior High School were awarded with this honor, with 11 ofJinan, while theHigh School Attached toShandongNormalUniversityhas the most number of 4.

The achievement of the school is closely related to implementation of promotion mechanism of teachers’ profession. Keeping pace with the times, the school has put forward the "six first-class" school development goals, namely first-class educational goals, first-class educational ideas, first-class teaching faculty, first-class educational environment, first-class training objectives, and first-class educational outcomes.

Teachers are the main force in the implementation of education for all-round development, and the quality of teachers will directly affect education quality, which means the quality of teachers serves as the key point to seizing the school's future. Since 1997, the school has started a teaching quality project, proposing the teachers’ quality goals of "Noble Morality, Professional Teaching ", and formulating a set of measures to improve the quality of teachers.

The school has set up the growth series project for new and young teachers, which aims them at “grasping teaching conventions in one year, grasping teaching materials in three years, mastering teaching laws in six years and growing into renowned teachers in nine years”. Adhering to training for new teachers and the “apprenticing” system, the school set up Future Star Training Project for young teachers, and actively plays a school-based training part, developing teachers' education level and teaching level. Therefore, the school was awarded as a demonstrating school inShandongschool-based training.

Instructed by Renowned Teachers of Shandong Province and Renowned Teachers of Jinan City, Several Famous Teacher Workshops have been set up, leading a large number of new and young teachers’ comprehensive development in such fields as education, teaching, science research.

At present, the school has 4 Special Grade Teachers, 9 master graduate student tutors, 3 National Outstanding Teachers. Three teachers are listed as “Renowned Teachers of Shandong Province”, three teachers are listed as “Renowned Teachers of Jinan City”. There are 10 Backbone Teachers at national level, 18 Backbone Teachers of Shandong Province. With 114 senior class teachers, the teaching team, with rational structure, professional skills, loving hearts, excellent capacity and enterprising spirit, is activating and working on the beautiful campus of the school.

It’s reported that the selection of“Teaching Expert of Shandong Province”organized by the Education Department of Shandong Province is held every four years since 1991. The purpose of the selection is to establish some Advanced Models with advanced teaching philosophy, comprehensive teaching skills, flexible and proper teaching methods, excellent teaching achievement. The selection aims to inspiration of teachers’ transformation of teaching concept, promotion of teaching quality and standard, promotion of education reform in Primary Schools, High Schools,Special-educationSchools, Kindergartens, Vocational Schools, and Normal Schools, improvement of implementation of education for all-round development. After strict selection, 800 teachers from Primary Schools, Junior High Schools, Senior High Schools,Special-EducationSchools, and Kindergartens were awarded with the honor of “Teaching Expert of Shandong Province”.
