On January 2 Ministry of Education issued Decisions on Approving 2018 National Teaching Achievement Prizes, among which one achievement by a combination of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) and other few units was designated as the 2nd Prize after granted Special Award of Basic Educational and Teaching Achievement in Shandong Province. So far all 5 educational and teaching research outcomes, which were hosted by AHS or in cooperation with other units, have won prizes in 2018 nationwide or in Shandong Province. Moral Course Research on “Principal Cup” Drama Festival and The Construction and Practice of High School Students’ Self-teaching Support System were respectively awarded the 1st Prize and the 2nd Prize of Shandong provincial basic educational and teaching achievements.

Following the educational philosophy of “putting students first and achieving their comprehensive development”, sticking to the educational orientation of “nurturing in students the university temperament and directing students to seek for kindness, truth and innovation”, and implementing the strategy of “prospering the school via scientific research”, AHS has been attaching great importance to conducting deep cooperation with universities and scientific research institutions and seeking for directions on educational research as well as theoretical support from them. In 2018 a considerable number of research outcomes were awarded prizes, which should not only be owed to the instructions by those experts but also the school’s construction and practice of “the most optimized individualized education system”, which will surely promote the educational and teaching reform to be continuously deepened and the educational quality to be steadily upgraded.
