On March 8, High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS), combined with Shandong Friendship Press and SDETVConfucius Lectures,invited Zhang Jianyun, a well-known writer and master of Chinese ancient culture, to lecture on Chinese Family Traditions. As part of “AHS Moral Lectures”, the lecture was warmly welcomed by AHS leaders, students as well as their parents.

In addition to the lecture, Zhang also made interactive communications with listeners in AHS Studio centering on the theme of “inheriting and carrying forward the best Chinese family traditions”. Following the main line of cultivating socialist core values and in his special and humorous language of a writer as well as culture scholar, Zhang presented a feast of family culture, attracting deep interest of teachers and students and winning their continual applause.

As was concluded by Tang Yinghai, host of the lecture, Zhang’s lecture and interaction with listeners turned out to be vivid and picturesque as well as popular and easy-to-understand. The well-conducted education on family traditions plays a great role in promoting a school’s traditions to be inherited and carried forward and advancing the cultivation of its elegant and dignified school culture.

The lecture marks the beginning of “Moral Lectures”, a newly-opened part of “AHS Lectures”. The organization of a series of lectures has not only enriched the life of teachers and students and upgraded their cultural qualities but also contributed to a favorable cultural atmosphere for building up a quality high school with characteristics of college education.
