In honor of the 100^thAnniversary of the May 4th Movement (1919, an anti-imperialist, anti-feudal, political and cultural movement influenced by the October Revolution and led by intellectuals having the rudiments of Communist ideology) and to celebrate the 79^thAnniversary ofChinese Communist Youth League, High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) held “May Flowers” Chorus Festival respectively on the afternoon of May 20 and May 29 in the two schoolyards in view of evoking students’ passion to love China, Communist Party of China, Chinese Communist Youth League as well as our school and nurturing students’ spirit of unity, mutual love and teamwork. All together 32 classes of Grade one attended the festival. All school leaders attended the festival and watched the show as performances.

Before the festival each two classes freely combined to form a team and then undertook the work of choosing the chorus song and composing dances. In preparations for the chorus students gathered together and made plans and suggestions in collective wisdom. In their communication and teamwork, the in-class cohesion and between-class cooperation were greatly strengthened.

The anthem of Chinese Communist Youth League as well as many other high-spirited,

sonorous and passionate chorus songs rang around the playground, well displaying

students’ love for their motherland as well as their school. The festival ended with a grand

chorus by all the students present.
