From May 19 to May 23, 2018, an AHS group made up of 12 teachers and students paid a 5-day visit to Wakayama Xinglin High School under the leadership of Ma Guanghua and Ma Fengyun.

On May 21, am, Wakayama Xinglin High School held a welcome ceremony for AHS visitors. In his welcome speech, Mr. Iwasaki, Principal of Wakayama Xinglin High School, pointed out that the friendship between High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) and Wakayama Xinglin High School has lasted 17 years, during which a considerable number of exchange visits and communications have been undertaken, providing precious opportunities for teachers and students of the two parts to learn from and understand each other and therefore greatly promoting the cultural communication and cooperation between China and Japan. Following the host’s speech, Ma Guanghua, Director of AHS Logistics Service Department, presented a speech, expressing his sincere thanks to Wakayama Xinglin High School for their invitation and reception. Since the friendship was established, the frequent exchange visits have greatly deepened the mutual understanding. Ma hoped the students from AHS shall value such an opportunity to learn more, communicate more and understand more. Then student representatives addressed a speech respectively on behalf of the two schools, expressing their hope to learn from each other and make more communications. At last the orchestra of Wakayama Xinglin High School presented a grand musical concert. The welcome ceremony ended with the mutual parts’ exchange of gifts.

Despite a visit of only five days, the visiting group entered the Japanese classes to experience the foreign education in person and lived with Japanese host families to feel the real Japanese society and culture. As a Top 100 High School, High School Attached to Shandong Normal University has always been attaching importance to international exchanges and organized visits abroad to upgrade the cross-cultural communication ability of teachers and students and broaden their international visions.
