From July 23 to 27 the national final of the 10^thNational Demonstration of Middle School Students’ Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry Capacity was held in Yangzhou High School of Jiangsu Province. Approximately 30,000 students from more than 30 provinces, municipalities and districts attended the preliminary contests and 217 of them made it to the final, among whom 7 came from High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS).

The final contained 4 parts, that is, problem-solving capacity demonstration, modeling thesis or experiment report demonstration, computer skill demonstration and innovation capacity and “Maker” demonstration. After the 4-day contests AHS students made outstanding achievements, with Zhang Lianjie winning 1^stPrize in Mathematics, Yang Yuzhe and Lu Yiming attaining 2^ndPrize in Chemistry, and Qian Wenzhuo, Zhang Xinyue and Zhang Hongnan granted 3^rdPrize respectively in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. In Innovation and Practice Capacity Demonstration, Zhang Hongnan and Liu Hengchen attained 2^ndPrize and Zhang Lianjie, Zhang Xinyue, Yang Yuzhe, Lu Yiming and Qian Wenzhuo 3^rdPrize. Zhang Yonghua and Yang Hongyi were recognized as “Outstanding Facilitator”.

The award ceremony was held in Nanjing University and students visited the campus.
