Recently the winners list of 2017 National English Proficiency Competition for Middle School Students was announced. A great many AHS students attended the contest and made outstanding achievements, among whom Zhou Kexin, Gao Jie, Zhang Yixia and Zhao Hongxuan obtained the National 1^stPrize, Zheng Chenyue, Liu Wanfei, Zhao Xinyi, Li Dongwei, Lei Tingyu and Zheng Yiming was granted the National 2^ndPrize and Huai Mingze, Wang Yunhao and Guo Xiaoyi the National 3^rdPrize. Li Xue, Liu Juan, Li XUemei, Chen Donglei and Xing Jiwen were awarded the title of Outstanding Instructor.

Under the instruction of AHS English teachers, the contestants of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) undertook systematic learning and analysis on linguistic knowledge and strengthened the simulation exercise, thus ensuring their perfect performance in the contest.

National English ProficiencyCompetition for Middle School Students is the only English proficiency contest of its kind intended for middle school students nationwide. Under the authorization of Ministry of Education, it is aimed at promoting students to have a better command of the linguistic knowledge as well as the basic linguistic competence of English via the contest and nurture and upgrade students’ comprehensive ability. The winners of National 1^stPrize shall be granted the qualification to attend the independent enrollment of a considerable number of top universities.
