No.1 Further Development Designed for a Better FutureThe second term of the new leadership of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) will witness further development of AHS. After comprehensive summarization, abstraction and argumentation, the following 3-year plan has been designated, that is, to build AHS to be a school featured with more profound cultural heritage, better qualified teachers, more scientific management, better academic conditions, education of higher quality, more specific educational characteristics and a more advantageous reputation, a quality high school with characteristics of universities ranking among the top in Shandong Province and the first classic throughout China. Centering on the plan AHS will implement in an all-round way the strategy of achieving high quality, personalized, large-scale and internationalized development and make endeavors to nurture a culture with college quality, educate students with AHS characteristics, bring up teachers with the temperament of educational experts and form a qualified and elegant school brand.

No. 2 Personalized Education for Talents

AHS has been making great efforts to forging herself to be a school providing the best service for students’ personalized development. In competitions, contests or evaluations of all levels, students of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) have attained 395 prizes.

No. 3 School-based Courses Opened to Bloom students’ Life

AHS strictly carries out the national courses program and each course has been closely following the national standards. At the same time AHS has opened 31 school-based courses and more than 30 courses of students’ communities, covering knowledge, skills, intelligence, ability, emotion, morality, aesthetics and many other fields. “Courses Market” provides many options for students to choose from in accordance with their individual personality.

No 4. Outstanding Achievements Have Been Made in NMT and ACTHSS

Outstanding achievements have been made in National Matriculation Test (NMT), with a more considerable number of students attaining a grade above the Level-one standard. Students of “Talent Plan” Class each got a score of 636 on average. All together 177 students have passed A-LEVEL, SAT or ACT tests and been admitted to top 100 university throughout the world. 1456 students of Grade 2013 took part in Academic Achievement Test for High School Students (ACTHSS) and a percentage of over 99.35% passed.

No. 5 Top Teachers Project Displays a New Trend

AHS carries forward the 5-level teachers’ professional development system, that is, “Promising Young Teachers”, “Master Teachers”, “Expert Teachers” and “Chief Teachers” and further perfects the mechanism of top teachers guiding team development. Based on the 6 “Top Teacher Office” teams, AHS have established 6 “Top Teacher Office”, 6 “Top Class Supervisor Office” and 5 “Top Teacher Researcher” teams.

A gymnasium of nearly 10,000 square meters has been built up, with basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis fields as well as various facilities for sports and bodybuilding inside and a parking lot under. 76 classrooms in Xingfuliu campus have been equipped with AIO Tablet board. New platforms have well widened the parents-school communication, consolidated the co-educational mechanism between parents and the school and best helped perform the role of parents in instructing and supervising the school’s management and fulfill the obligation of the school in directing the family education.

No.8 School Bus Brightens the Best AHS Service

In order to provide convenience for resident students’ leave and return at weekends, AHS negotiated with JI’nan East Coach Station, which then agreed to open the school shuttle bus lines exclusively for AHS students, which has been well accepted and praised by parents and medias. 24 deluxe buses shuttle in 7 lines and 2 sub-lines covering the whole downtown area.

No.9 Flowers of Civilization Blooming the campus

AHS initiated the motion of building “ civilization unit” in view of carrying forward the socialist core values and promoting the campus civilization. AHS was commended as “2015 Provincial Civilized Units”. AHS Group, represented by Sun Ping who provided immediate help to an elder falling down by the AHS schoolyard gate, was entitled “Ji’nan Top Ten Models” and “Models of Honesty and Kindness” by Ji’na Municipal Publicity Department, Ji’nan Municipal Civilization Office andShandong Business Daily. A graduate of Grade 2012, since he was diagnosed lymph cancer, had received a donation of over 300,000 RMB from AHS teachers, students and their parents.

AHS has been awarded “2015 China Top 100 High Schools”, “National Model Base for Combined Postgraduate Training”, “NationalCampusFootballSchool”, “ModelSchoolfor Science Education inShandongProvince”, “Advanced Unit for Mental Education inShandongProvince”, “Ji’nan Municipal Advanced Unit for Publicity” and “Model Unit for Social Safety in Lixia Diatrict”. AHS was named “High Quality Student Base” byUniversityofScienceand Technology of China. AHS Young League Committee was entitled “May 4 Red-Flag Committee of Shandong Normal University”. Grade 3 Branch of AHS CPC Committee won the title of “Advanced Base Party Organization of Shandong Normal University”. AHS Branch of Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang was granted “National Advanced Base Organization of Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang”.
