Li Yaoxuan, who is one of the excellent graduates of Grade 2005, paid a return visit to his Alma mater, High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS)on October 20th. During his visit, he delivered a speech themed with “from SN to the ivy” on both campuses. Students from Senior One and Two attended the lecture which was presided by Zhang Jingting and Hu Zhaoqiang, two deputy secretaries of the AHS Youth League Committee.

Graduated in 2008 in AHS, Li Yaoxuan was recommended to Fudan University. As one of the twenty most excellent model students, he came second among all students of his department, as a result of which he was then admitted by many prestigious American universities such as Stanford University, Columbia University, the University of Texas-Austin and so on. Later, he entered Stanford to pursue for his master degree as a student majoring in Electronic Engineering. Now, he is working as the vice-chairman of American-China Engineers Young Association and the Chief Executive Officer in Winston Education located in Service for America, which belongs to Wanhe Education Corporation.

At the beginning, Li shared his learning experience in AHS. In his opinion, AHS owns the most excellent teachers from Shandong and other places throughout China. All of them show concerns to every student and make them full of colorful dreams in their youth. In addition, he hoped that students should not only learn knowledge, but more importantly, learn the teachers’ bravery and courage when faced with difficulties and challenges. Next, Li also shared his learning experience in Fudan University, through which he suggested that students should cherish the time in college, make scientific schedule of life, strictly control themselves, and strive to complete further goals. At the end of this speech, Li gave a detailed introduction on how to apply for an American university and the things that need special attention. The whole hall was filled with constant applause. Students were so inspired that many of them even communicate with Li on how to learn well after the activity was over.

AHS has held many activities such as “One Hundred Professors into AHS”, “AHS Forum” and so on in recent years. These activities are intended to widen students’ horizon, as well as help to exert unique “AHS power” on students in order to assist them in growing.
