Recently, the National Finals of Chinese Campus Comprehensive Quality and Ability of ACTS held inBeijingended. Cao Enyuan and Geng Jieran, two students of Grade 1 from AHS won the national gold and silver medal of the Exploration and Application of Mathematics respectively in this competition and their adviser Sun Tengfei ,the Gold Medal Instructor. In the competition held in Shan dong division, several other students in the same grade won 4 Gold Awards, 5 Silver Awards and 16 Bronze Awards in the Exploration and Application of Mathematics, English Reading and Writing, Spoken English and Chinese Reading and Writing.

ACTS National Quality Education and Academic Quality Competition is held on campuses throughout the country with students participating in volunteering. The competition gained recognition and strong support from countries and regions such asChina, theUS, Macau,Hong Kong,Taiwan,Canadaand many international education institutions. At the same time, it also got the strong support and broad participation from institutions like Academy of Social Sciences, Ministry of Education, the National Association of Vocational Education of China, Chinese Association for Education, the Expert Group of the Ministry of Education in the Eleventh Project, ETS, US Process Research Center, the US Hawaii NFER, the US American-Chinese Cultural Exchanges Association, Australian Around Asia Education Cultural Development Association, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Students and Scholars Association, Hong Kong Wenhui Newspaper, Education and Career and so on. The experts and scholars from many scientific research departments across the country also offered their support.

The system of ACTS Academic Quality and Ability Competition aims at “growth, achievement, success”, puts “Higher, Faster, Stronger” as its spirit and “To participate and win in the process” its principle. Its evaluation criterion is comprehensive quality and ability (instead of the unitary grade), which is the basis of a standard competition and awarding and provides a stage for the vast numbers of young students to show, discover, face themselves and show bravery to accept the challenges.
