On March 22, 2012, High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) was awarded an honor of “Ji’nan Advanced Unit of Educational Publicity” at the Meeting of Ji’nan Educational Publicity and Legal System organized by Ji’nan Bureau of Education. Yang Ping and Zhu Yujun from AHS were awarded “Ji’nan Advanced Individual of Educational Publicity of the Year2012”. Yang Ping, Director of AHS’ Office of Publicity, accepted the award on behalf of AHS.

In view of further raising the activeness of publicity units and individuals of all levels as well as upgrading Ji’nan educational publicity, Ji’nan Bureau of Education carried out an over-all evaluation on the educational publicity work of all educational units of the Year 2012 and gave them a mark respectively in accordance withJi’nan’s Guideline for Evaluation on Educational Publicity Work. Thus 12 units were designated as Advanced Units of Educational Publicity and 36 individuals as Advanced Individuals of Educational Publicity. Ji’nan Bureau of Education announced in time the recognition of all award winners.

The year 2012 witnessed the prosperity of AHS’s publicity work. Based on the accomplishment achieved before, AHS expanded its publicity range and centering on serving the school’s central work, forged its publicity work to be playing a role of leading, promoting and bridging the interaction between external public opinions and internal reflections. AHS has established multi-dimensional publicity channels, with AHS Web, Micro-blog, Media, AHS News and other media channels blooming in an all-round way and therefore building up a bridge for AHS to blend into society and for the society to know of AHS. Members of AHS Publicity Office, AHS teacher reporters and AHS student reporters consist of AHS’ three publicity groups, who have been fulfilling their obligations and making exciting achievements in their respective duty, thus playing an important role in comprehensively building AHS as a quality high school with the characteristics of a high school attached to university.

In the year 2012 national, provincial and city-level news and media published or broadcast 289 pieces of news or reports related to AHS, adding up to 150,000 words. The amount ranks the second place in Ji’nan in view of the number of reports registered and counted by Ji’nan Bureau of Education. AHS Website was in succession awarded the First Prize of Ji’nan Excellent Educational Website and the First Prize of the Excellent Website of Shandong Province. The official Micro-blog of AHS ranked for 5 months among the top10 inSina Microblog list of primary and high schools’ power of influence and especially ranked the 3^rdin December, 2012. AHS has introduced its experience of managing the school’s Microblog in province and city-level meetings of educational publicity and won praise from Shandong Provincial Education Department.
