A Group Picture Taken to Mark the Occasion
On the morning of September 19, a representative group from Wakayama High School, consisting of nine teaches and students and headed by its principal, paid a friendly visit to High school Attached to Shandong Normal University. Vice Headmaster Wang Yuzhang and Party Secretary Tan Yinghai met with the friends and held sincere talks. Vice Headmaster Liu Congjun and Li Suhan, Head of School’s Administration Office, attended the welcome activity.
In his welcome address, Wang Yuzhang expressed warm welcome to friends from Japanese partnership school. He stated that since the partnership was established between High School Attached to Shandong Normal University and Wakayama High School in April, 2001, the two parties have brought about frequent exchange visits, playing an active part in deepening mutual trust and understanding among youngsters and strengthening cultural communication and cooperation between China and Japan. Through mutual exchange and jointing efforts, the two schools have set up a platform for the two nations’ educational system to study and draw experience from each other. Joining in classes and accommodating in Chinese families, the visiting group could experience more closely China’s education as well as Chinese life. It is surely a rewarding visit.
The Principal of Wakayama High School addressed in Chinese his thanks to the warm welcome and hospitality they received here and congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the founding of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University. Special thanks were also given to Chinese people for their timely support in Japanese earthquake and tsunami as well as Fukushima Nuclear Accident. Regarding this visit as quite rewarding, the principal further indicated their prospect to make greater efforts to promote mutual communication and cooperation and their best wishes to achieve fresh accomplishments in all aspects of the two schools. He firmly believed the friendship between the two schools long lasting.
Harmonious and enthusiastic, Chinese and Japanese students held warm exchanges, respectively introducing their study and life in school. A student from High School Attached to Shandong Normal University presented an erhu performance while their Japanese friends sang in Chinese a choric song named Friends, expressing their best blessing to the two nations’ young students.
After the welcome ceremony ended, the Japanese friends visited the Academia Historica of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University and had a look around the Xingfu Liu Branch School of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University.
