English taken as the teaching language in CUHK, candidates’ English level is strictly required, with the English mark of self-financing candidates reaching 120 or more and that of scholarship winners 130 or more. In order to better distribute among students the opportunities to obtain scholarships, CUHK will increase the number of scholarships and set up a new scholarship: tuition-free scholarship based on those previous ones.
Parents and students put forward many questions they were concerned about and the conference ended up with friendly interaction.
As has been learned, in 2008 Wang Yiwei from AHS, whose achievement in National Matriculation English Test (NMET) ranked the 1st in Shandong Province, was successfully enrolled into CUHK and won the full scholarship.
