On December 7 and 9, High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) hold the speech contest in memory of “December 9 Patriotic Movement” respectively in the downtown and Xingfuliu school yards. The contests were hosted by Students’ union and AHS League Committee and invited Liu Congjun, AHS Vice Headmaster, some mid-level directors of the school and Chinese language teachers to make up the jury panel.

The contests started with a video briefly introducing “December 9 Patriotic movement” and contestants expressed through their enthusiastic and contagious speeches their deep and ardent patriotism from history, culture, responsibility, future and other perspectives.

At the end of the contest 40 students from Class 6 Grade 2 recitedThose Eventful Yearsin the downtown schoolyards and Miss Zhou Xixi gave the speechBe Youth and Duty Togetherin the Xingfuliu school yardcs, pushing the contest to its highlight. Everybody there deeply felt the sense of duty and mission to our motherland. Finally Ma Yanwen, Director of AHS Chinese Language Teaching and Research Group，and Wang Bin, Director of Grade 2 Chinese Language Teaching and Research Group, made comments on the speeches from the perspectives of their contents, language, emotion and stage actions.

This speech contest was organized in memory of “December 9 Patriotic Movement” with the aim of instructing students to carry forward the spirit of patriotism, strengthening the patriotic education to them and stimulating their patriotic enthusiasm.
