From July 31 to August 2, under the leadership of Sun Guowang, a teacher teaching Chinese in AHS, Guo Yixin, Zhang Zhehui and Fu Lingbo, three students from High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS), attendedthe national final of “The 9^thCreative Writing Competition for Primary and High School Students” held in Beijing and reaped outstanding achievements.

Hosted by Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Peking University and Open Class Magazines, the Creative Writing Competition for Primary and High School Students is recognized as a Chinese writing contest with extensive influence nationwide. Contestants who were awarded the 2^ndPrize or better in the national final would have the qualification to attend the independent entrance examinations given by Peking University, Zhejiang University and the other 31 universities nationwide.

The three contestants from AHS emerged step by step from contests in school level and then in Shandong district with their excellent performance and eventually advanced into the national final. In the final they well displayed their talent in Chinese writing and stood out among over 1200 contestants from about 300 high schools nationwide. Fu Lingbo was honored with the 1^stPrize, Guo Yixin the 2^ndPrize and Zhang Zhehui 3^rdPrize. Sun Weiwei, Xu Shishui and Sun Guowang were awarded “Excellent Director” Prize. AHS was honored with “Base School of National Creative Writing Competition for Primary and High Schools”.

AHS Teaching and Research Group for Chinese Language and Literature has always been attaching great importance to nurturing students’ talent for writing and thus made outstanding accomplishments in writing competitions of various levels, as has been well displayed inthe 9^thCreative Writing Competition for Primary and High School Students.
