At the invitation of Russia-China Friendship Association and under the organization of Youth Center of Science and Technology, which belongs to China Association of Science and Technology (CAST), Gao Peisong, a student of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS), together with another 26 youths from other cities of China, such as Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin, went to Russia to take part in the 7^thChina-Russia Youth Science and Technology Culture Exchange. This activity hosted by CAST is an improtant part of China-Russia Youth Exchange Year, aiming at promoting the communication of the young of the two countries in the field of science and technology and deepening their understanding and friendship.

Gao Peisong, together with other students, visited Gargalin Astronaut Training Center located in the suburb of Moscow. This is the selecting and training base for astronauts of the former Soviet and Russia. Some Chinese astronaunts once received training here. They also visited spacewalk pool, the largestcentrifugein the world, which is used to train astronauts’ anti-overload capacity,SalyutSpaceStation, model ofSoyuzSpaceStationand space food exhibition. The most exciting thing is the presence of the famous Russian astronautСергей•Залётин, who once went into space twice. He introduced to delegation the history of Russian space industry, shared his experience about how to become an astronaut and told them what qualities an astronaut should have. He also answered questions raised by Chinese students patiently. Besides, they paid a visit to the former residence of Lenin, a great leader in Russian history and knew more about the life of this great person by listening to the guide.
