According to the host, the activity invited altogether 200 students from primary and high schools, AHS the only invited school from Shandong Province. The Youth scientific activities, whose theme is “Holding hands with landing of Chang’e”, and “Dreaming of the rising of Chinese Nation”, aim to inspire the youth to explore space, unveil the mystery of the universe, and cultivate their scientific spirit and scientific innovation ability. Initiated officially in September of 2013, the activities are divided into two phrases: the first phrase includes such activities as Aerospace knowledge lectures and training, inquiry-based learning of primary and secondary schools and aerospace science and technology thesis writing; the second phrase consists of the moon knowledge competition, lunar rover and detection equipment design competition, and Chang’e IV scientific experimental design competition. What’s more, the participants will visit Kennedy space center of the US, space popular science education base, and participate in the Space Camp held there to understand the building of international space station as well as the work of the astronauts on it.
