From 20^thto 22^ndNovember, the national congress of Football Branch, China School Physical Education Association, was held inBeijing. The congress commended the schools and individuals on their outstanding achievements in school football education.AHS was awardedtheOutstandingSchoolfor National School Football Education from 2004 to 2013, and was elected to be the vice chairman school.Chen Zhaohong, a PE teacher from AHS, was given the title of Excellent Coach.Present at the congress were some leaders from The Ministry of Education, General Administration of Sport of China, School Physical Education Association of China,andProvincial Departments of Education, as well as principals and coaches from nearly one hundred schools. Via democratic election, the second session presidium came into birth. AHS was elected vice chairman school; Principal Wang Yuzhang was elected the vice chairman; Chen Zhaohong was elected as the vice secretary of the committee and took charge of the referees committee.

AHS regards football education as the traditional teaching project. The male football team of AHS has won several championships in national competitions and provincial school sports association competitions. The team has cultivated numbers of football talents for universities, and 12 team members have been admitted into the national professional team.
