The opening ceremony of the Third Youth Art Festival and Campus Singing Competition of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) was held in the lecture hall of Xingfuliu Campus. Present at the ceremony were Wang Yuzhang, AHS Principal, Tan Yinghai, Secretary of AHS Party committee, Liu Congjun, AHS Vice-Principal and deans of AHS.

The warm-up performance given by Senior 1 electronic band activated the whole atmosphere. As the general director of this art festival, Wu Yulun, Chairman of AHS Students’ union declared it open, which also meant the final of Campus Singing Competition started. The various songs selected included classical ones, inspirational ones and cartoon themes. There were magnificent opera styles as well as tender harmony. After one and a half hours’ competition, the first three prizes were awarded.

The Campus Singing Competition is part of the Third Youth Art Festival of Xingfuliu Campus. Many other activities have been presented in this festival, including fine art and photographing competition, speech contest, sketch competition, debate and encyclopedic knowledge contest. It is reported that this festival is totally designed and organized by students themselves, which aims to show students’ talents and their vibrant and shining spirit. It also activates the school cultural atmosphere.
