The Football Team of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) came toDalian, a city known as “theFootballCity” and attended under the invitationfrom “Dalian No. 48 Middle School Cup” National High School Football League Champions, a traditional football match organized by Dalian Education Department.

All together over 160 students making up 8 teams joined in the Champions. AHS players displayed their dauntless initiative and finally made it into the Final after defeating Dalian No. 48 Middle School Football Team, which won the champion in the 2003 Asian Students Football Match. In the final a 2:2 draw situation was created after AHS football team got two goals in succession. However, in the penalty kick AHS lost the game with a result of 4:5 to Dalian No. 8 High School. AHS was granted “Sportsmanship Award”. Dalian No. 48 Middle School andHenanExperimentalHigh Schoolrespectively ranked the 3^rdand 4^thplace in the match.

Going through the champions, AHS players obtained much experience and realized their deficiencies and gap with other teams. A good foundation has been set for their further development.
