Teachers and students ofConnecticutSimsburySchoolof theUnited Statesvisited High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) from April 15^thto 17^th. A welcome ceremony was held in the lecture hall on the morning of 15^th. Present at the ceremony were Wang Yuzhang, AHS Principal, Chen Dehai, AHS Vice Principal, and Yang Renyong, Dean of School Administration Office.

Wang Yuzhang addressed the ceremony. He first welcomed the foreign friends and then introduced AHS. He also expressed his hope that they would enjoy their stay here. After that, Wang Tianyu, Head of AHS English Association made a speech on behalf of AHS students. Ms. Chen, a teacher ofSimsburySchool, affirmed in her speech the importance of the relationship between the two schools and hoped that the friendship would last long. At the end of the ceremony, gifts were exchanged: AHS school flag and 2012 Yearbook of Simsbury School.

Many activities were held for the visitors. Foreign students studies together with AHS students to learn about Chinese education and were showed around the campus under the guide of Yang Renyong. They also visited Xingfuliu Campus of AHS,ShandongMuseumand had a tour of theYellow River.

During their stay here, 10 AHS students and their families offered accommodation to the foreign friends, which makes them know deeply about Chinese culture and strengthens the friendship between the youth of both countries.
