From March 24 to 25, 2017-2018 “I’m for Olympics” National 3-3 Basketball Challenge Competition (Eastern District) commenced in Hefei, Anhui Province. The Men’s Basketball Team and the Women’s Basketball Team of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS), respectively on behalf of Shandong men youth and women youth, attended the tournament and both came in 3^rdplace after 7 intense competitions in 2 days.

In men’s group-stage matches, AHS Men’s Team made up of Ge Zuozhuang, Zhang Wei and Zhang Qinyu cruised to the quarter final and finally attained the 3^rdplace after defeating the team of He’nan Experimental High School.

In women’s group-stage matches, AHS Women’s Team “OptimusPrime” made up of Feng Yanchen, Shen Dongfang, Bi Rongzhe and Liu Yifei was once 6 points behind the competitor in the match for the 3^rdplace, but finally knocked out the competitor by 1 point with team members, especially Feng Yanchen who was still struggling to strike the interior defenders of the opponent though suffering an ankle injury, doing all in their power. They came in 3^rdplace and fully displayed the fine work style and won applause from the audience.

The tournament undertake the form of qualification tryouts in primary stage and AHS Men’s Basketball Team and Women’s Basketball Team respectively attained the 2^ndand 1^stplace in the tryouts of Shandong Province, thus qualified to represent Shandong Province to attend the matches of Eastern District.
