In view of nurturing the innovation and practice abilities of adolescents and further improve their science and technology qualities, the 32^ndShandong Adolescent Science and Technology Innovation Contest was held in Heze No. 1 Middle School from April 7 to 9. The contest was hosted by Shandong Association for Science and Technology in combination with Shandong Provincial Education Department and operated by Heze Association for Science and Technology and Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Center for Adolescents. Zhu Ming, Deputy Chairman of Shandong Association for Science and Technology and Membership ofCPC Committeeof Shandong Association for Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the contest. Xue Nianshan, Director of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Center for Adolescents, attended the opening ceremony. Going through a series of selections and the on-site defense, 4 AHS students Li Fengze, Wang Yihan, Zhao Xingya and Ruan Tongji won the first prize in Shandong Provincial science and technology innovation achievements and the other 4 students Liu Jiangpeng, Xiao Yufeng, Zhan Yijing and Xue Zhiyuan won the first prize in Shandong Provincial science and technology originality. Among them Li Fengze and Ruan Tongji will represent Shandong Province to attend the 32^ndNational Adolescent Science and Technology Innovation Contest to be held in Hangzhou this summer.

In the contest the number of the first prize won by AHS students as well as the number of the programs enrolled into the national contest ranks among the top throughout Shandong Province, keeping ahead in science and technology education.
