Students of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) made outstanding achievements in the 16^thNational Creative English Contest, with a considerable number of prizes gained including one national 1^stprize, two national 2^ndprizes, and three national 3^rdprizes as well as three North China 1^stprizes, four North China 2^ndprizes and four North China 3^rdprizes. Honors were also granted to AHS teachers as facilitators. Liu Wei and Zhao Jun were endowed with the title of Superfine Facilitator and Li Min and the other 7 teachers the title of Outstanding Facilitators.

National Creative English Contest was initiated from 2003 by the magazineUniversity Enrollmentin combination with some well-known universities like Peking UNiversity, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, with the intention of further integrating with the world, upgrading students’ English skills and promoting the overall enhancement of their English proficiency. National Creative English Contest, as well as National English Proficiency Competition for Middle School Students, is the English contest of the kind enjoying the highest recognition for the independent recruitment of universities.

High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) has always been attaching importance to nurturing and advancing students’ key competencies, organizing various activities like English Corner, English Speech Contest, English Opera Contest, English Singers Contest, English Poetry Recitation Contest, English Handwriting Competition in view of arousing students’ interest in English learning and upgrading their English proficiency and achieving remarkable success.
