The National Final of Ability-Competence Test System (ACTS) has come to an end in Beijing. Feng Ruoyu from AHS won the special gold prize, the highest award in the Mathematics’ exploration and application of ACTS, which broke through the record of one gold and one silver prize in the 2012 competition.

ACTS is a national wide competition which students volunteer for to test their study qualities. This competition is recognized and supported by China, America, Australia, Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada and many transnational educational institutions. Meanwhile, numbers ofexperts and scholars from various institutions and teaching research departments participated in it, such as the China Academy of Social Sciences, the Ministry of Education, the national association of vocational education of China,the Chinese Society of Education, the expert group in The 11^thFive-Year Plan Projects, ETS, Center for Process Studies, USA, National Education Management Group U.S.A, Trans-Asian Development Association Incorporated, Pecking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, Hong Kong University, HKST Group, and so on. Aiming at getting nurtured, getting improved, and making achievements, with the spirit of being higher, swifter and stronger, ACTS provided teenagers with a bright stage to face challenges and discover their own capabilities.

It is said that in the provincial competition of Shandong, students of AHS achieved two gold, four silver and five bronze awards in the math exploring and application, English reading and writing, Oral English and Chinese reading and writing. All those achievements result from AHS’ education idea which attaches great importance to quality education and multi-talent cultivation. More and more students are expected to achieve more in AHS.
