The 15^thNational Creative English Contest concluded in Beijing. Li Xinlan, a student of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS), won the 1^stprize in northern China zone via her outstanding performance in English language and was duly appraised by jury experts. Liu Juan, Li’s facilitator in AHS, was duly endowed “Outstanding Teacher” of National Creative English Contest.

National Creative English Contest, instructed byDepartment of College Student Affairs of Ministry of Education and hosted byCollege and University Admission, a magazine sponsored by China University Admissions Research Association, is hosted bySouxue.comin combination with Peking University, Tsinghua University and other prestigious universities. Since its foundation the contest has successfully recommended nearly 1,000 high school graduates with excellent abilities in English into universities. Those students have well taken advantage of the contest and acquired the favorable terms to be enrolled into universities. The contest has been growing increasingly popular with high school students and with its authority and justice has been duly recognized by universities as well as our society.

AHS English Teaching and Research Department has always been attaching importance to cultivating students with excellent abilities in English and has established a whole set of mechanism. A considerable number of AHS students have won prizes in kinds of English contests and many teachers have beenendowed the title of Outstanding Facilitator.
