On March 1, Wang Jiyuan, a police officer of Tianqiao Branch of Traffic Police Detachment, Ji’nan Municipal Public Security Bureau, came to Xingfuliu School of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) and sent as a reward a silk banner printed with “Quality Education, Nobel Morality” to express his gratitude to Ma Haxiang a student in Class 22, Grade 1 of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University who found and returned the lost money to Wang Jiyuan.

On February 16, pm. Ma Hexiang picked up a black plastic bag on her way back from Ji’nan Municipal Library, in which she thought there were just garages but actually some cash and a card holder with some bank cards and an ID card were found after opening it. “The owner must be quite anxious”, said Ma Hexiang, who then dialed 110 and with the help of some police officer returned the stuff to its owner that turned out to be a police officer surnamed Wang. “The 30,000 cash was drawn from the bank for my kid’s tuition and school life expenses”, said Wang, who once thought the lost money would have never been found but luckily happened to meet a girl of positive energy.

Tan Yinghai, General Secretary of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University, accepted the banner on behalf of the school. “In accordance with an educational principle of ‘putting students first and achieving their comprehensive development’, AHS has always been attaching great importance to building up its school culture to nurture students’ development and especially their morals”, said Tan.

Surprised and grateful, Wang Jiyuan then took out 1,000 yuan in return for the kindness of the girl, who, however, refused. “My teacher always teaches us to know how to be an upright person. I just did what made a person upright”, replied Ma Hexiang.
