After over one year’s data collection and analysis, China Research Group, a non-profit think tank based in Washington DC, released 2013 China's 260 Best High Schools. AHS was scored 91, ranking 56^thnational wide and 1^stcity wide.The rankings are based on data collected from wide-ranging sources including Department of Education of China, many Chinese universities, overseas Chinese student associations, etc. The ranks are based on:

· Teachers: 20%.

· Facility: 15%.

· College Acceptance Rate: 20%. (Acceptance rate of top 50 domestic Chinese universities)

· Study Abroad (World's Top 15 Universities): 20%. This includes the number of graduates entering world's top 15 universities, plus graduates who finish undergraduate in China and pursue graduate study in world's top 15 universities. World's top 15 universities include: Harvard, MIT, Yale, Stanford, Cambridge, Oxford, Cal-tech, Princeton, Columbia, Chicago, Imperial College, U of London,University of Pennsylvania, Berkeley, and Duke. The list is identified from top 10 universities on 4 most popular world and U.S. universities ranking lists: Academic Ranking of World Universities, QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings and U.S. News College and University Rankings. The first three rankings focus on world universities, while US News ranks American universities.

· Study Abroad (World's Other Universities): 15%. This includes the number of graduates entering world's universities other than the aforementioned 15, plus graduates who finish undergraduate in China and pursue graduate study in world's universities other than the aforementioned 15.

· School's Expenditure per Student: 5%.

· Alumni Donation: 5%.
